Cassie is a highly accomplished and dedicated volleyball coach, bringing a wealth of experience from both her playing and coaching career to Synergy. Her journey with Synergy began at the age of 13, where she not only showcased her exceptional talent on the court but also established a strong foundation for her coaching career.
Cassie is a passionate and experienced coach with a diverse background in coaching high schools and clubs in both Ohio and Pennsylvania. She has successfully coached three different high schools, where she worked closely with athletes ranging from 14 to 17 years old.
One of her proudest coaching achievements was with the Anthony Wayne Junior Varsity team in Ohio. Under her guidance, the team had an exceptional season, finishing with an impressive 23-1 record and winning the JV State Championships.
Currently, Cassie is the head coach of our 17 Junior National team and is dedicated to running Synergy’s camps and clinics, providing aspiring athletes with the opportunity to hone their skills and reach their full potential. Additionally, she oversees the Summer and Fall Doubles Program, where she focuses on developing teamwork and strategic gameplay.
She is committed to helping athletes achieve their goals and maximize their abilities. Cassie’s coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that pushing young athletes out of their comfort zones is essential for their mental and physical development. She aims to mold confident, independent adults through rigorous volleyball training. Cassie’s motto underscores the importance of versatility, emphasizing that athletes should not only excel in their designated positions but also be proficient in any other role on the court.
Cassie is a highly accomplished volleyball player who proudly represented Avon Grove throughout her high school career. As a four-year varsity starter, she showcased her versatility by playing in the middle, right-side, and outside positions. Throughout her time at Avon Grove, she established herself as a record holder for kills, digs, and aces, proving her exceptional skills on both offense and defense.
One of the highlights of her high school journey was leading Avon Grove to their first-ever appearance in the PIAA State Championship. With her exceptional performance and leadership, her team advanced to the quarter-finals, making a significant impact in her school’s volleyball history. Her consistent excellence on the court earned her numerous accolades, including multiple All-State, All-District, and All-Star Team recognitions.
Additionally, she showcased her talent at the national level by playing as a middle, right-side, and outside hitter on the Synergy National team from 14s to 18s. Throughout her five-year journey, she consistently represented her team at the USA Nationals in the National Division, showcasing her skills against the best competition in the country.
Cassie continued her playing career at the University of Toledo on a Division 1 Scholarship. Throughout her college career, she continued to excel, earning recognition as the MAC Player of the Week. As a dominant force on the court, she consistently ranked at the top of the conference in hitting percentage during her junior and senior years, earning the respect of her teammates, coaches, and opponents.
Cassie’s skills aren’t limited to the indoor volleyball court; she has also made a name for herself in doubles tournaments. With a remarkable record of winning over 35 doubles tournaments, she has consistently proven her expertise in this format of the game. She is a two-time champion of the Susquehanna Smash and even triumphed in the largest grass tournament in the country, the 2018 Pottstown Rumble.
